Badde Manors has been presiding over this prominent street corner since anyone can remember. Forget glitz and glamour, this is grass roots Glebe--arty student types in heavy-rimmed glasses and thick scarves. The tiny wooden booths by the windows are perfect for one (somewhat cosy for two), with extra room in the atrium style area out back. Depending on the day the vegetarian-leaning menu includes bean nachos, gado gado (vegetables and peanut sauce) and big, fresh salads. Do not miss the chai--a heavenly infusion of spiced tea and milk.
