Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00 is the norm, however in practice many may work longer hours.

Business Etiquette:

While you should try to be on time for meetings and appointments, generally many Australians have a more casual view on scheduled appointments. The dress code is usually conservative both for men and women, but in warm weather the jacket is usually removed and you can also see others with more informal clothing. Many companys also practice 'casual Fridays'. Also remember not to take yourself too seriously - self importantness doesn't play well in the casual Australian culture. As such you should follow lead when talking to others - many prefer the informal first name rather than stiff titles.
