In the heart of the hip, happening little village of Erskineville, across the street from both the station and the well known Rose of Australia hotel, Caffeine has created a buzz among coffee addicts far and wide. The latest development is live music, from 4pm until late on Sundays. Be warned--service can be excruciatingly slow. Tiled walls, a concrete floor, big timber-framed windows and wooden tables complete the décor--the paved area out the front is the place to be on weekends. The menu includes pizza AUD7, smoothies AUD3.50 and African groundnut ragout AUD10.
