Carindale's Chardonnay vines were planted in the early 1980s and produced such superb full bodied wine that the fruit became highly sought-after from local winemakers. The more-recently planted Cabernet Franc and Merlot are set to follow. Carindale keep enough of each harvest to produce some fine wines, including a creamy bouquet Chardonnay and a medium-weight, smooth-finish Blackthorn.
