Opened in 1838, David Jones is the oldest department store in the world still trading under its original name. With seven levels spread over two stores, linked by an underground tunnel, this is Sydney's answer to Harrods. You will find fashion, home wares, cosmetics and gifts of superb quality. And if you only manage to visit one floor, the food hall is a must, with its gourmet delicacies, both imported and local, fine wines, oyster bar and coffee bar.
