Some 8,000 contestants wander through the streets of Sydney duing this race on a quest to test the limits of will and endurance. It was such a success that organisers are putting it on again and hope to develop the race into a world-class event. So head to the running shop, pick up the latest gel soled and get ready to pound the pavement (literally). The marathon course follows the blue line painted on the Sydney streets, which stretches from North Sydney to Homebush. For those not quite up to that distance, the 10 kilometre Bridge Run takes in some of the city's most breathtaking scenery. Money raised from both runs supports the Young Christopher Robin Foundation cancer charity. Entry fees Apply.
