With a strong local following and dedicated group of regulars, the Globe is one of those places where you always feel welcome. The clientele ranges from surfers to soap stars and dressed-down corporate types relaxing over the weekend papers. Big 60s-style wire fans, whitewashed timber panelled walls and a wall of French windows opening onto the buzz of Coogee Bay Road.
The menu includes a huge breakfast--bacon, eggs, tomato, mushrooms, you name it, the works for around AUD10, porridge with bananas and brown sugar, sticky-sweet muffins, focaccias and smoothies.
