Located seven kilometres outside the historic township of Berrima, is the Joadja Vineyard. This is the closest fully-operational boutique winery to Sydney. Joadja specialises in fruity varieties favoured by the Highlands' cool climate, and is open daily for self-guided tours and cellar door sales. The Joadja Vineyard is located just down the road from equally historic town of Joadja, once a mining town, and since abandoned and inhabited only by (rumour has it) ghosts. Guided tours among the ruins are available.
