This high altitude vineyard, located on the slopes of the (inactive) Mount Vincent volcano, affords some breathtaking views of the surrounding bush land. Mudgee is located in magnificent countryside north-west of Sydney, and on a clear day (which they almost always are), you can take in a seemingly endless panorama. Spring, when the wildflowers are out, is the pick of the seasons to experience this vista. Cool climate wines (Pinot Noir, Traminer and Cabernets) are consistent performers here, but the Sauvignon Blanc is Knowland's top range drop.
