Not your usual Writers Festival fare of book launches and publicity power-lunches; instead this is five days and 150+ sessions examining a range of media issues relevant to today's writers, such as the legal, technical and creative sides of e-publishing, grant writing, hypertext, green text (writing for social change) and a heavy student-media content. The festival attracts not only up-and-coming talent, but also accomplished authors, and publishers and talent scouts eager to get in on the next big thing. Sessions are inexpensive or free.
