Craigmoor, circa 1858, is Mudgee's oldest winery and home to a museum, cricket pitch, picnic area, and an excellent restaurant. But more famous than all of those put together is the Poets Corner label which the winery produces. Sought out around the country, Poets Corner does some great whites (including an outstanding Chardonnay) and some sublime reds (do not miss the Cabernet, whatever you do). As well as Poets Corner, Craigmoor is the winery behind the Montrose and Craigmoor labels. If you only visit one winery in Mudgee, this is the one.
