Basic, but clean and very comfortable, this old Victorian pub is five minutes from Newtowns restaurants and shops. Close to the University of Sydney, from here it is just a short bus ride, or a 20 minute walk, to the attractions of the city. Downstairs is a popular bar, with poker machines, pool table and well-priced bistro. The area is a cosmopolitan mix of students, first time house owners and long time elderly locals.
