Each summer, the Royal Botanic Gardens become an enchanted forest when Shakespeare's immortal works are performed under the stars. Instead of performances taking place on one central stage, audiences follow the actors on a magical mystery tour as scenes are played out in various settings throughout the gardens—grassy areas, between trees, amongst flowerbeds and beneath strands of fairy lights. Shakespeare Under the Stars is renown for featuring acclaimed Australian actors, with a program that changes from year to year.
