St Stephen's Church was originally located on the other side of The Rocks. It burnt to the ground towards the end of the 19th century and was re-built in Macquarie Street in 1934. It is a very pretty church, built in the gothic revivalist style, with a breathtaking patterned ceiling. Traditional congregation, with a good choir and excellent organist. Service Times: 10am, 7pm (6pm winter) Sun; 1.15pm Tue (Healing Service); 1.15pm Wed.
