Unlike Australia's famous Barossa Valley and Coonawarra wine-growing regions which are vast expanses of flat plains, the Hunter is a scenic vista of rolling green hills. Set in the foothills of the Pokolbin Mountains, this colonial-style winery produces fine paddock wines, including School Block Semillon, Mt Bright Chardonnay, Shiraz and Lucerne Paddock Verdelho. Tours of this rustic vineyard are conducted on Saturdays and Sundays, at 11am.
